Ham radio operators paid tributes to John Philips, who sent distress massage to near by ships through radio. The radio message saved 713 lives.

The correct name is JOHN PHILLIPS not GEORGE.
The TWo wireless operators on the Titanic were JOHN (JACK) PHILLIPS and HENRY BRIDE.
